About me
Catherine received her bachelor's in psychology, with honors, and her master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. Catherine is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Catherine is also certified using dialectical behavior therapy (C-DBT), and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level I. Catherine has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with mental health symptoms and self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. She utilizes cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy with a client centered trauma informed approach. Catherine believes that creating and fostering a trusting, honest, and positive relationship is vital in a successful therapy setting. With this in mind, she meets the clients where they are and takes the time needed to foster a strong therapeutic connection to further client's personal growth. She focuses on compassion, empowerment, reflection
I started Level Up Counseling & Consulting Service in 01/2023 and have been working non stop in order to provide client's with the best mental health care they deserve. I have three teenage children, two boys and one girl, and they are my life! I enjoy mindfulness walks in nature and teaching DBT skills groups to adults and teens.
