Catherine received her Bachelor's in Psychology, with honors, and her Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. Catherine is a licensed chemical dependency counselor, and a licensed professional counselor.
Catherine is also certified using dialectical behavior therapy (C-DBT), and is Certified Clinical Trauma Professional level I trained. Catherine has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with mental health symptoms and self defeating thoughts and behaviors. She utilizes cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy with a client centered trauma informed approach. Catherine believes that creating and fostering a trusting, honest, and positive relationship is vital in a successful therapy setting. With this in mind, she meets the clients where they are and takes the time needed to foster a strong therapeutic connection to further clients personal growth. She focuses on compassion, empowerment, reflection, and encouragement.
