About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I work with adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, stress, low self-esteem, and substance use concerns. I also have experience helping individuals who struggle with intrusive thoughts, boundaries, and feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. I have a particular interest in working with first responders and understand the unique stressors that can come with careers that require you to regularly respond to crisis, trauma, and the needs of others.
My counseling style is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment. I understand that no two people are the same, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and experiences. My approach is trauma-informed and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, narrative approaches, and Brainspotting when appropriate.
I believe meaningful change often begins with having a safe place to slow down, understand what you are experiencing, and begin looking at things differently. Whether you are working through something from your past, dealing with challenges in the present, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next, you do not have to figure everything out at once. My role is to meet you where you are, provide support without judgment, and work alongside you as you make changes that feel meaningful to you.
