About me
I am a licensed professional counselor who works with individuals across the lifespan. I have a passion for working with adults who experienced childhood trauma, as well as, angry and anxious children and teens.
Dallas/Fort Worth therapist Cassie Bay works with people of all ages who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and repetitive body-picking and hair-pulling behaviors.
Cassie is passionate about working with children, specifically, angry and anxious kiddos. She is expertly trained to incorporate play therapy into sessions with littles and to guide parents toward understanding their children’s behavior during consultations so they can make effective changes at home. She uses a talk-and-activity-based approach to therapy with adolescents. It’s about whatever it takes to help children navigate challenges at an age-appropriate level at school and at home.
Cassie specializes in working with adults with chaotic childhoods, helping them understand their past, how it influences their present, and how they can use this information to inform their future and live the life they desire. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing her to effectively support those who have experienced abuse, the emotional hangover caused by a chaotic childhood, daily traumas of first responders, or any unforeseen circumstance that may lead to post-traumatic stress (PTSD).
Cassie frequently works with individuals who have body focused repetitive behaviors, such as trichotillomania. She customizes her approach with each client she works with by helping them understand the nuances of their behavior, identify various ways to monitor and cope, and mindfulness.
She is also passionate about working with individuals in the military and their spouses. She understands the unique complexities and demands of their lives, as her husband proudly served in the United States Navy. She also spent time working directly with the US Marines as part of the Behavioral Health program while she and her husband were located in southern California.
