About me
Many journeys can be fraught with missteps and challenges that create strife, turmoil, doubt and regret. Beginning therapy is much like choosing the path less taken. While it may seem like a more difficult journey, it is one worth pursuing. A choice that can bring a journey and a legacy you envision of renewal, growth, joy and serenity.
Another way to view this is through our mission statement, which reads: Through the use of evidence based best practices, support the journey toward personal growth, self-awareness and pursuit of your legacy to the fullest.
I have worked with adults and adolescents experiencing a spectrum of concerns. Most of my work has been with substance use issues and disorder as well as the co-occurring conditions that accompany and/or influence substance use issues. My experience includes work that specializes with persons who are experiencing issues with addiction, self-esteem, grief and loss, as well as career counseling. I approach the counseling relationship from a perspective of “genuine impact,” which is another way of working towards honest and empathetic interaction. Looking at the “whole” person is an essential strategy to provide my clients the best possible help they are seeking. The ability to connect on an honest and empathetic level while seeing the “whole” presents an environment that I believe can lead to movement in the direction a person is looking for. I look forward to speaking with you about the pursuit of your legacy.
