About me
I am an experienced Doctor of Behavioral Health and Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping adults cope with depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
Dr. Carolyn Latham-Shiflett is a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and a Certified Grief Professional (CGP). She earned her doctorate degree from The Cummings Graduate Institute out of Phoenix, Arizona in 2018 where she focused on integrated behavioral health. She attended Norfolk State University and graduated in 2005 with her master’s degree in social work. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Leo’s University. Dr. Latham-Shiflett obtained her LCSW in 2009 from the Commonwealth of Virginia. She works in a group practice that has an office in Hampton, VA and offers telephonic, virtual, and in-person sessions.
Dr. Latham-Shiflett started providing outpatient counseling services in 2020 and she specializes in providing individual counseling to adults ages 30 and older that have anxiety and stress, problems with communicating effectively, relationship and family issues, depression, adjustment disorders, grief & loss, adults with high functioning autism, active-duty services members, veterans, and workplace stress.
