About me
I’m Carmen Pineiro, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor. I work with adults who want to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, manage anxiety and stress, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives.
My approach is warm, compassionate, practical, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel comfortable being honest and exploring what is really going on beneath the surface. Rather than simply telling you what to do, I will help you gain clarity, recognize patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and make choices that are aligned with your goals and values.
I incorporate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and person-centered therapy. I tailor our work to your individual needs, because no two people, and no two journeys, are the same.
My goal is to help you feel more equipped to handle life's challenges, strengthen your relationships, improve your emotional well-being, and feel more confident in yourself and your ability to move forward.
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin wherever you are.
