About me
I am an experienced trauma-informed therapist who works with teens and adults of all ages to heal from trauma, ease anxiety, and find balance in life. At Restoring Serenity, I provide a warm, supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself and move toward the peace you deserve. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Meritain, Nippon, Optum, Oxford, Trustmark, UMR, United Health Care, and Florida Sunshine. I also offer superbill services for out-of-network clients. Superbills are detailed invoices that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses.
I became a mental health provider because I’ve witnessed how trauma, anxiety, and depression can pull us away from ourselves and our connection to others. I’ve long been drawn to understanding the nervous system and the ways we heal—emotionally, physically, and mentally. My background includes work in both community mental health and private practice, where I’ve supported individuals carrying the weight of deep, complex experiences. These experiences inform the way I show up in therapy—offering a space that feels safe, grounded, and responsive to each person’s unique needs. Through my remote practice, Restoring Serenity: A Heart’s Refuge LLC, I help clients reconnect with themselves, find relief, and move toward a life that feels more like home.
Working with me is a collaborative process rooted in safety, curiosity, and attunement. In our first sessions, we’ll explore what brings you here, what feels most important, and how your nervous system responds to stress and healing. Progress isn’t about “fixing” but about reconnecting—with yourself, your emotions, and a sense of ease. I work best with clients who are navigating PTSD, anxiety, or depression and are open to exploring how their body and mind work together. My approach is gentle but deep, always honoring your pace as we build capacity for healing and resilience.
I’m always deepening my understanding of trauma, the nervous system, and the mind-body connection. I regularly engage in continuing education focused on polyvagal theory, somatic approaches, and trauma-informed care. I’ve pursued trainings in nervous system regulation, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Somatic EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions to better support clients navigating PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
In my practice, I value the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for meaningful change. I strive to create a space where you can feel seen and supported without pressure to explain everything right away. Because every nervous system is different, our work together is tailored to what feels most accessible and regulating for you. Some sessions may focus on insight and reflection, while others might center on grounding, resourcing, or simply being present together.
While my practice is entirely remote, many clients find that virtual therapy offers a unique kind of safety and comfort—especially when working through trauma. It allows you to engage from your own familiar space, which can support a deeper sense of agency and ease. I currently serve adult clients throughout the state of Florida and offer flexible evening appointments to accommodate busy schedules.
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to it, my hope is that this space can be a steady refuge as you learn to listen to your inner world and move toward greater wholeness.
