Candice Hakemack, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Richardson, TX
Online & In-Person
About me
I provide counseling for adults & older teens (16+). My specialties include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger management, and previous trauma.
My journey to counseling began with a career in sales, where I found myself more interested in my buyers' stories than the products I was selling. I received my MA in Applied Psychology from NYU and began working in private practice in 2018. I also hold a BBA in Management from UTA. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (#83120).
I believe we are all unique, and that therapy is not "one-size-fits-all," so I pull from multiple modalities in my work. Theories I have seen success with in my work with clients are ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Mindfulness, Attachment, and Interpersonal.
