About me

I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP) in the State of Virginia, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve emotional well-being. I specialize in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns, anger management issues, women’s issues, emotional disturbances, family conflict, parenting challenges, peer relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, coping struggles, ADHD, and substance use disorders.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University in 2013 and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2017. Since beginning my work in the mental health field in 2012, I have gained extensive experience across a variety of treatment settings, including outpatient care, psychiatric hospitals, community-based programs, and substance abuse treatment facilities.

My clinical expertise includes the treatment of co-occurring disorders, particularly those involving both mental health and substance use, as well as mood disorders, grief, adjustment disorders, and addiction. I take an eclectic approach to therapy—drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy—to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.

In addition to providing direct counseling services, I am a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor for LPC and LMFT residents, as well as Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) supervisees in Virginia, offering guidance and mentorship to those seeking professional licensure and certification.

My passion lies in creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where individuals can explore their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.
