About me

I am a therapist, life coach and self-published author that is passionate about mental health awareness, especially within the African-American community! My specialties are substance abuse and Christian counseling and I am in the process of pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of TX.

I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida and relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the Spring of 2015. I hold a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty with a concentration in Life Coaching and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. I am also a fully Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) for the state of Texas and am credentialed as a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (BCPCC) through the International Board of Christian Care.

I began working in the Substance Abuse field in Spring of 2011. I previously worked with male and female adolescents and adults in this industry. I expanded my services to include Christian Counseling and Mental Health counseling as well. I hope to be able to help bridge the gap between theology and psychology within the faith community. Additionally, I hold professional affiliations with Texas Christian Counselors and the American Association of Christian Counselors. In my free time, I volunteer with the National Association for Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Potter’s House church of Dallas.
