About me
My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, understanding, and the belief that every person has the ability to heal and create meaningful change in their life. My journey as a therapist began working at a nonprofit organization serving women who had experienced domestic and sexual abuse. This experience taught me the importance of creating a safe, supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered while navigating the challenges that can follow trauma.
I later continued my work at a community mental health center, where I had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including immigrants experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and difficulties with motivation and daily functioning. These experiences deepened my understanding of how trauma, life transitions, culture, and everyday stressors can affect emotional well-being.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and panic disorders, and I support clients in developing healthier ways to manage difficult emotions, navigate life’s challenges, and regain a sense of balance and confidence. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, and I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients can be themselves and move at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic, trauma, or simply feeling stuck and having difficulty finding motivation in your daily life, you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to meet you where you are and work collaboratively with you toward the life you want to build.
