Life can be...really hard. And sometimes how we THINK about and react to events make it harder. Often we complicate current life decisions with ideas that once worked but don't any longer. When we lose sight of our internal compass, then life decisions can seem impossible. Depression and anxiety occur when we have unintentionally allowed our life to shrink trying to protect ourselves from how full and intense life can "feel". We may also inherit these tendencies. When we learn how to move into & towards these emotions, we grow towards our complete, unique selves.
All my therapeutic support is trauma informed. I treat depression (and anxiety) and help those who have experienced religious trauma rediscover their true selves. Growth can feel intimidating, but I consistently witness people rediscover their deeper needs, freed from their wounds, to live in courageous alignment that brings joy and purpose.

In May I will have reached my 23rd year providing psychotherapy. I was trained post-grad in Infant Mental Health & later in EMDR. I now also specialize in recovery from religious trauma. My approach is existential and relational. I understand that growth often takes both courage & a safety.
