About me
I am a limited licensed professional counselor in the State of Michigan, working under supervision. I received a Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Western Michigan University in 2024. I have worked as a counselor in various school and youth-at-risk settings, online individual counseling, adults with disabilities, and private practice. I have experience working with children, adolescents, groups, and single adults in my practice. I also have specialized training in art therapy and play therapy along with my master’s in education. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and follow their professional ethical guidelines, and also have my National Counseling Certification. I want to help you find your inner strengths and comfort with your identity.
I believe in your inherent capacity for growth, self-understanding, and change. If you are currently experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges such as neurodiversity, together, we can focus on a path to improve your experience. I bring many life experiences, creativity, and counseling modalities to my practice. My main goal is to assist you holistically on your life path, helping you grow your coping skills and behavioral awareness, find your strengths, and define your future.
I understand how hard it can be to reach out for help and navigate our health system. I am here to help you!
A little bit about me: I was a graphic designer for my first career and returned to school at 47 to get my master's degrees in educational design and counseling. I got into counseling while working for the university and loved assisting college students. I am also an artist and an antique/boutique dealer. I love watching British mystery shows, lounging with my cats and my partner, and enjoying a hot cuppa. My art mediums vary day-to-day from multi-media assemblage to painting and jewelry.
