About me
I'm an EMDR-certified therapist and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, working with teens and adults navigating trauma, identity, and life transitions. My approach is creative, compassionate, and collaborative—I bring humor, authenticity, and a judgment-free vibe to every session. I blend modalities like DBT, EFT, and experiential therapies to support emotional processing, build self-awareness, and develop practical coping skills. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to explore meaningful change, I’ll meet you where you are—with openness, flexibility, and respect for your unique journey.
I’m a nerdy, creative, and wholehearted therapist who brings a judgment-free vibe to every session. Therapy with me is built on honesty, openness, and collaboration. I believe in meeting clients as they are—with all the mess, magic, humor, and complexity that comes with being human. I don't see myself as the expert on your life—you are. My role is to offer a grounded, supportive presence, evidence-based tools, and a compassionate perspective to help you untangle what feels overwhelming or stuck. If you’re looking for real, honest work—where humor is welcome, feelings are safe, and change is possible—I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
My practice is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care. I'm certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful modality for healing from trauma, distressing life events, and deeply rooted emotional pain. Trauma isn’t always about one defining moment—it can be the buildup of many experiences where you felt unsafe, unseen, or powerless. EMDR allows us to access and reprocess those experiences in a way that helps your brain and body release the hold they may have on your present-day life.
In addition to EMDR, I integrate experiential modalities, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my work. This means that I don’t just focus on thoughts or behaviors—I also guide clients through emotional exploration, body awareness, and present-moment experience to help them connect more deeply to themselves. Whether we’re working on developing self-regulation skills, building healthier relationships, or processing unresolved pain, I use approaches that are flexible, practical, and adapted to your unique needs and strengths.
I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is tailored to the individual in front of me—not just to a diagnosis or set of symptoms. Many of my clients have felt dismissed, misunderstood, or pathologized in previous therapeutic spaces. I work intentionally to create an environment where all parts of you are welcome—where we can explore your experience without judgment, shame, or pressure to “fix” yourself. You’re not broken. You’re responding to the world in the best ways you’ve learned how. And together, we’ll explore new ways of coping, connecting, and showing up for yourself that feel more aligned with who you truly are.
I work primarily with teens and adults who are open to self-reflection and personal growth. Many of my clients are navigating the effects of trauma, severe mental illness, identity exploration, or life transitions. Some come to therapy feeling stuck—caught in old patterns, struggling to manage big emotions, or carrying the weight of anxiety or depression. Others are processing grief, exploring their identity, or healing from harmful relationships. Some are just trying to make sense of the world and their place in it. What they all share is a desire for clarity, healing, and a deeper understanding of themselves—and a longing to feel more at home in their own minds and bodies.
My ideal client doesn’t need to have everything figured out—they just need to be willing to show up, even when it’s hard. Therapy isn’t always comfortable, and I don’t promise quick fixes. But I do promise to be present, curious, and invested in your process. I’ll challenge you when it’s helpful, validate you when it’s needed, and support you in making meaningful changes at your own pace. Whether we’re processing trauma, developing coping tools, building emotional insight, or just trying to survive a particularly hard season of life—I'll meet you exactly where you are.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I bring both lived experience and cultural humility to my work with clients of all identities and orientations. I offer a safe, affirming space for folks across the gender and sexuality spectrum—including those exploring identity, navigating coming out, or seeking healing from minority stress and systemic harm. I am also kink-aware, poly-affirming, and sex-positive. Your identity, relationships, and lifestyle are respected here, and I work from a place of curiosity and consent—not assumptions or judgment. Therapy should never require you to hide parts of who you are.
With a flexible telehealth model, I’m able to meet clients where they are—whether that’s from the comfort of their home, in between work meetings, or during a quiet moment in their day. For those who prefer in-person support, I also offer office sessions. I value accessibility and understand that life doesn’t always make it easy to prioritize your mental health. My goal is to offer care that fits into your life, not the other way around.
I bring energy, authenticity, and transparency to the therapy process. You’ll never get a blank stare or a “how does that make you feel?” with no follow-up. I’ll engage with you, ask thoughtful questions, offer feedback when it’s useful, and work with you to make sure therapy feels productive—not just a place to vent, but a place to grow. I'm also a strong believer in the healing power of humor. Therapy can be deep and emotional—but it can also be weird, funny, and full of moments that remind you you're human and not alone.
Whether you're in the middle of a crisis or just starting to notice that something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to ask for help. You don’t need to wait until you hit rock bottom to reach out. If you're ready to explore what healing could look like for you, I’d be honored to be part of that journey.
