About me
I help adults rewrite the narrative that says a fulfilling life has to wait until their body changes.
My therapeutic style is warm, honest, and collaborative. Together, we’ll explore the ways you’ve learned to cope, strengthen the skills that support you, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and true to who you are. My hope is that our work helps you better understand yourself and feel more confident trusting your own voice. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship begins with feeling safe, understood, and genuinely connected. Lasting change grows from what we explore during our sessions and how you apply those insights in your everyday life. My work draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and feminist theory. I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care and approach conversations about food, bodies, and well-being from a Health at Every Size (HAES)-informed perspective. Your identities, lived experiences, and values will be respected throughout our work, and therapy will be shaped around your individual needs.
My work is grounded in feminist theory, social justice, body liberation, and the belief that every person’s story is shaped by the systems and communities around them. I support Health at Every Size principles and reject the idea that a person’s health, worth, or morality can be determined by their weight. I’m also passionate about reducing stigma surrounding suicide, self-injury, and personality disorder diagnoses. Above all, I believe people should have spaces where they can be fully known without being reduced to a diagnosis or the ways they learned to survive. I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to help you understand and trust yourself more fully.
