About me
I have 50 years of experience in medical social work, with a special interest in perinatal care. Although I held leadership roles in social work during much of that time, I continued my own direct work in perinatal social work because that is where my heart lies, helping those who are having to cope with loss. Now, in semi-retirement, I work with selected individual women, couples, and families facing these challenges.
I have a BA in Psychology, and a MSW and PhD in social work, along with extensive medical/perinatal experience. I’m also nationally certified by several professional organizations and have received several awards for my work.
My family’s losses and my own early grief experiences influenced my interest in helping families in a compassionate and accepting way to move through their grief and to move ahead with their lives.
I’m licensed as both a certified social worker and a marriage and family therapist in Mississippi , and I meet with clients in a private and comfortable setting in my home.
I do not accept insurance.
