About me
I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor dedicated to helping individuals heal from anxiety, trauma, addiction, and life challenges while building resilience, hope, and lasting change.
I believe that every person has a story that deserves to be heard with compassion, respect, and without judgment. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, process difficult emotions, and begin moving toward healing and growth.
I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction, and life transitions. Many of the clients I see feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Together, we work to understand the patterns that may be contributing to these struggles and develop practical tools that help clients regain a sense of control, clarity, and confidence.
My counseling approach is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based practices with a compassionate, collaborative style. I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based counseling to help clients develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build stronger relationships. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel both supported and empowered.
Before becoming a counselor, I spent many years working in the prison system and in behavioral health settings, which gave me a deep understanding of how trauma, addiction, working in high stress rolls, and difficult life experiences can shape a person’s story. These experiences continue to influence my commitment to meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they pursue healing and personal growth.
As a counselor with a Christian worldview, I also welcome clients who would like to incorporate their faith into the counseling process. For those who prefer a purely clinical approach, counseling can remain fully evidence-based and centered on your personal goals.
Seeking counseling can feel intimidating, but it is also a courageous step toward change. My hope is to provide a supportive environment where you feel understood, respected, and encouraged as you work toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
