About me
I believe healing happens when people reconnect with their strengths, find their voice, and learn to trust themselves again. Life's challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about who we are and where we're headed. Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, gain perspective, and create meaningful change.
I help individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and life transitions. Together, we will work toward helping you heal, grow, strengthen your relationships, and believe in yourself so you can confidently be you.
About Me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and EMDR-trained therapist serving individuals, couples, and families. My mission is to help clients heal from emotional pain, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with who they are at their core.
I began my career in social services after earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston–Downtown. I worked extensively with at-risk children and families involved in foster care systems, providing crisis support, advocacy, and emotional stabilization during high-stress life circumstances. I later expanded my clinical experience in school settings, offering support to children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, and family conflict.
I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. During my graduate training, I completed my practicum at Cy-Hope Counseling, where I provided therapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families, and co-facilitated group counseling for adolescents. After graduation, I continued my work with Cy-Hope Counseling, advancing from associate therapist to fully licensed clinician.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in safe, supportive relationships. I integrate attachment-based, trauma-informed, EMDR-informed, and person-centered therapy to meet each client where they are and support meaningful, lasting change.
I believe every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and rediscover their sense of self. In therapy, I focus on helping you slow down, understand your emotional patterns, and begin to shift the beliefs and experiences that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we work toward creating healthier connections with yourself and others.
The foundation of my work is helping clients learn to trust themselves again and to believe in their voice, their emotions, and their ability to create change.
Areas I Specialize In
I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, communication difficulties, trust issues, parenting stress, self-esteem challenges, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions.
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that affect their relationships, struggling to regulate emotions, or feeling disconnected from themselves or their partner. Others come to process past trauma, rebuild trust, or navigate stressful life changes.
When appropriate, I incorporate EMDR techniques to help process distressing experiences to reduce emotional reactivity, gain clarity, and move forward with greater resilience.
Who I Help
I specialize in working with:
Individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, or depression
Couples experiencing conflict, disconnection, or trust concerns
Parents feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to support their children
Individuals navigating life transitions, stress, or identity concerns
Individuals and couples working through past emotional wounds and relationship patterns
Whether you are seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, or family support, my goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
My Mission:
My mission is simple, it is to help you believe in yourself again. So many people come to therapy feeling exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of their next step. I believe healing begins when you are given a space where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself and supported enough to grow from it.
Through our work together, you learn to how to strengthen your relationships, build emotional resilience, and develop a deeper sense of self-trust. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more grounded, more connected, and more confident in who you are and where you are going.
Therapy is not about becoming someone new or changing who you are, it is about coming home to yourself. Be proud to BE YOU!
