About me

As a therapist with over 18 years of experience, and I’ve had the honor of walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s toughest moments. Whether it’s trauma, low self-esteem, marital or relationship conflicts, shame, spiritual disconnection, grief, anxiety, or depression, I’ve seen how these experiences can weigh on a person—and how they can also become a doorway to growth. My approach is rooted in both professional expertise and a deep, personal empathy. I truly enjoy helping my clients find clarity, experience healing and build the strength they need to move forward.

I draw from an eclectic style, blending insights and techniques that inspire hope for change while being grounded in personal responsibility. I believe we’re all shaped by our unique stories—our attachment styles, the traumas we’ve weathered, and the ways those experiences color how we connect with the world. My goal is to meet you where you are, offering a warm, steady presence as we explore your path together.

Hi, I’m Brandon Wetzler, a psychotherapist offering support to individuals, couples, and families in Huntington Beach, California. My path to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist began as a young man, sparked by a deep curiosity about individual psychology, family dynamics, and the intricacies of relationships. That curiosity turned personal when life’s challenges—broken relationships, self-doubt, and a lingering sense of dissatisfaction—led me to seek my own psychotherapy. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, igniting a lasting ripple of positive change and fulfillment in my life. Inspired by that experience, I felt a calling to guide others on their own journeys, which set me on the path to becoming a therapist.
My academic foundation began in 2004 when I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with an emphasis on Mental Health from Cal State Fullerton. I continued my education and, in 2008, graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of counseling men, women, couples, families, and children, helping them navigate life’s complexities.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients through a wide range of struggles, including trauma, low self-esteem, identity challenges, relationship conflicts, premarital and marriage counseling, shame, spiritual disconnection, grief, anxiety, and depression. My approach is shaped by both professional expertise and personal empathy, and I’m committed to helping my clients find clarity, healing, and strength.
