Beverly Furstenberg, LCSW

My name is Beverly Furstenberg and I am a LCSW and I'm an experienced counselor specializing in the treatment and management of anxiety disorders, dedicated to helping adults cope with and reduce anxiety symptoms.

I specialize in anxiety disorders including high functioning anxiety, generalized anxiety, and perfectionism. I help my clients overcome and manage the difficulties that having anxiety creates through identifying and correcting cognitive distortions, deconstructing problematic patterns/habits, and learning new skills to reduce the distress unmanaged anxiety produces.

I started Healing Happens in 2023 with the firm belief in healing - more specifically that healing DOES happen. We begin the process of healing the moment we decide suffering is no longer an option.

I have been in the field since 2013 and have worked with various populations over the years with a wide variety of concerns, ranging from psychiatric conditions, to addictions, trauma, homelessness and even domestic violence. I have obtained advanced training in the treatment of trauma. I have been providing online counseling services since 2020.

My counseling style is warm, empathetic and interactive. I believe that my clients are the experts of their own lives, and it is my honor to help them find the options, skills and perspectives that can empower them to make changes, to heal and to live their best, healthiest lives. My approach combines a strengths-based perspective with solution-focused brief therapy, humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy. I individualize my approach with each client to ensure their concerns, needs and goals are met.
