About me

As an LCSW with 26 years of clinical experience, I specialize in helping couples move from conflict to connection using the research-backed Gottman Method. Currently on the track to become a Certified Gottman Therapist, I provide a structured, evidence-based space to help partners rebuild intimacy and navigate their most difficult challenges.

While I am deeply passionate about relationship health, I also find great purpose in supporting individuals during life's transitions. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, or a shift in your life’s chapter, I offer a warm, expert hand to help you find your footing and live with greater peace.

The Foundation of My Practice: Experience You Can Trust

With over 26 years of experience in behavioral health and 15 years as a solo practitioner, I have dedicated my career to understanding the complex intersection of the mind and body. My journey began in the medical field as a Registered Nurse (RN), where I developed a deep appreciation for the biological underpinnings of mental health. This clinical foundation—rooted in nursing and medical science—allows me to view your well-being through a holistic lens that few therapists possess.

When you sit across from me, you aren't just meeting with a counselor; you are partnering with a seasoned professional who understands how physical health, nervous system regulation, and emotional resilience work together. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I blend that rigorous medical background with a deep, compassionate focus on social dynamics and human connection.

Specialized Expertise in Relationship Health

While I work with individuals navigating various life challenges, my practice is a dedicated hub for marriage and relationship therapy. I believe that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. Because of this, I don't just "talk through" problems—I use research-backed frameworks to help couples rebuild.

The Gottman Method: A Science-Based Approach

I am currently on the Certification Track to become a Certified Gottman Therapist. This is one of the most rigorous training programs in the world for relationship counseling, based on over 40 years of research with thousands of couples. My training in the Gottman Method means our work will be focused on:

Disarming Conflicting Verbal Communication: Moving away from the "Four Horsemen" (Criticism, Contempt, Defensiveness, and Stonewalling).

Increasing Intimacy and Respect: Rebuilding the "Sound Relationship House" from the ground up.

Creating Shared Meaning: Helping you and your partner find a common purpose and deeper friendship.

Whether you are in a high-conflict season or simply want to "proactively proof" your relationship, I provide the structured, evidence-based tools necessary to move from gridlock to dialogue.

An Eclectic & Evolving Toolkit
I am a firm believer that a therapist should never stop being a student. The field of mental health is constantly evolving, and I am committed to lifelong learning. My approach is "eclectic," meaning I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. I draw from a wide range of advanced modalities to tailor our sessions to your specific needs:

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): To help you identify and shift the thought patterns that keep you stuck.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy): To help you stay present and move toward what truly matters to you.

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy): To help heal the emotional bonds and attachment styles within your relationship.

RET (Rational Emotive Therapy): To challenge the irrational beliefs that fuel anxiety and depression.

Who I Serve: Navigating Life’s Transitions
My practice is a space for those who are ready to navigate the "messy" parts of life with an expert guide. I find great joy in working with:

Couples at a Crossroads: Partners who are ready to do the work to save or strengthen their bond.

Young Adults: Individuals learning to navigate the transition into adulthood and the unique pressures of modern independence.

Older Adults: Those moving through significant life shifts—whether it’s retirement, changes in health, or redefining purpose in later chapters of life.

Anxiety & Depression: I offer a steady hand for those feeling overwhelmed by the weight of their emotions, helping you find your footing again.

Commitment to Clinical Excellence
My educational background, including my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), serves as the backbone of my clinical excellence. I treat therapy as a professional discipline that requires constant refinement. By choosing a therapist who is actively pursuing the highest level of Gottman certification and who maintains a foot in both the medical and social work worlds, you are ensuring that your care is as sophisticated as it is sincere.

If you are looking for a therapist who is highly qualified, deeply experienced, and genuinely invested in your growth, I would be honored to walk this path with you.
