About me
I believe that every client who walks through my door brings a unique set of strengths, qualities, and life experiences that can support their growth and help them reach their goals. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life.
While I am trained in various theoretical orientations—including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, existential therapy, and attachment-based approaches—I primarily focus on identifying and building upon each client’s individual strengths. I tailor treatment to align with your unique needs, values, and experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which clients guide their journey, and I remain open to learning from you along the way. To me, therapy is not just a session—it is a meaningful and transformative experience.
With over 25 years of experience in social services and mental health, I have worked in a variety of settings. My background includes supporting foster children who have experienced trauma, as well as providing outpatient services to children, couples, and families navigating developmental transitions, divorce, and the challenges of blended family dynamics.
I believe that the most effective therapeutic work occurs when clients feel safe, supported, and truly understood. Feeling seen and heard is essential to the process of healing and self-actualization.
As a Latina therapist, I am also able to provide services in Spanish when needed.
Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey.
