About me
I am licensed in Florida with 50 years of professional work experience. I have experience in working with clients clients in many different areas. I started my career working with Substance Abusers (both Alcohol and Drugs). My first professional position was as the Director of a 60 bed residential program for men and women. The first ten years of my career was devoted to all types of addictions. After this point in my career I added to my interests by becoming licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Michigan. I have also practiced as an LMFT in Florida. Being trained as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW and an LMFT has afforded me the options of working with clients who are dealing with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse (many years working at the United States Department of Veteran's Affairs both on the crisis team and at three different Vet Centers working with PTSD and many trauma survivors. I was also a Hospice Social Worker working with clients who were coping with grief and loss, & depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
