About me
I use a person-centered, strengths-based, and holistic approach to assist clients in managing life stressors and regaining control of life. My mission is to provide comprehensive psychotherapy utilizing a nurturing, trusting, and empathetic professional relationship and environment. My work in the Department of Integrative Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital involved working with patients as well as serving as a member of the Connecticut Military Coalition and the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board. My goal is to assist others in having their best possible life despite the challenges life puts in front of them.
I worked for 14 years in the Center for Integrative Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. I utilized yoga therapy, reiki and energy therapy, hypnosis, meditation, and mindfulness to help patients reduce stress, prepare for surgery, and ease anxiety, pain, insomnia, and more. Many of the patients I worked with were experiencing mental health disorders that fell outside the scope of my practice. This led me to return to school to complete my master’s degree in social work.
