About me
Welcome - I’m truly glad you’re here.
My name is Ayodelli Whyte-Kortsen, and I’m a licensed therapist in Texas with over 8 years of experience guiding individuals through life’s most difficult and transformative seasons. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, unmotivated, or simply not like yourself-you’re in the right place.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready for change but may not know where to start. They’re navigating challenges like anxiety, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, or major life transitions. Many feel pressure to hold everything together while silently struggling inside. What they want is relief, clarity, confidence, healing, and the ability to show up fully in their lives-not just for others, but for themselves. That’s where I come in.
As a military veteran and founder of Kortsen’s Changed Mindsets, I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise into the therapy room. I offer a personalized, empowering approach grounded in evidence-based modalities like CBT, IFS, REBT, SFT, and mindfulness-based practices. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all-it’s tailored to your unique needs, goals, and strengths.
My communication style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I create a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, build insight, and take meaningful steps toward growth. Whether we’re unpacking deep wounds or developing everyday coping tools, I’ll meet you with empathy and accountability-walking alongside you every step of the way.
In our first session, we’ll begin building a connection. I’ll take the time to understand what brought you here, what’s weighing on you, and what you hope to gain. Together, we’ll design a roadmap that aligns with your pace, values, and vision for your life. You deserve support. You deserve peace. You deserve to heal. Let’s start your journey-together.
