About me
I am licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in New York with over 13 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, career difficulties, & coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. I speak English and Spanish.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Informed principles. I use CBT to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, while Person-Centered principles guide me in creating a non-judgmental, supportive environment that fosters self-exploration and growth. I also incorporate elements of Mindfulness . My orientation is flexible and tailored to the unique needs, identities, and goals of each client. I work with a range of presenting concerns, including, anxiety disorders, depression and mood concerns, stress management, life transitions, self-esteem and self-worth issues, relationship challenges (communication, boundaries, attachment patterns), grief and loss, trauma-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, work-related stress. I aim to create a collaborative, culturally responsive, and empowering therapeutic experience. I am intentional about creating an environment where people feel heard, respected, and supported
