About me

I am an experienced, EMDR, ACT, and DBT therapist, who helps reflective, ambitious people, move beyond anxiety, self-doubt, and the past experiences that have been quietly holding them back so that they can reclaim their confidence, self-worth, and direction.

I created alchemy practice, because I am deeply interested in the Waze, anxiety, fear, and self-doubt quietly shape our lives. Many of the people I work with are reflective, ambitious, and deeply capable. They often appear successful on the outside, yet privately struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, hesitation, or feeling that something inside is holding them back.

My clients are often people who have spent years trying to understand themselves. They read, reflect, work, hard, and push themselves to keep going. Yet, despite everything they have done, they still feel stuck in certain patterns. They may know what they want, but find themselves, second-guessing themselves, waiting until they feel more prepared, or holding back in ways, they do not fully understand.

Over time, these patterns can quietly shape the boundaries of a persons life. Opportunities begin to feel riskier than they actually are. Relationships become harder to navigate. Even when life looks successful from the outside, something still feels missing.

I believe many of these struggles began as ways of protecting ourselves. At some point, it may have felt safer to stay quiet, careful, responsible, or afraid of getting it wrong. Those patterns often made sense at one time. But eventually they can begin to keep us from living the life we want.

My work focuses on helping people understand where these patterns began and how they may still be influencing their confidence, relationships, and sense of direction today.

I primarily use EMDR therapy, along with ACT, DBT, and Brainspotting. EMDR helps the brain process experiences that may still be connected to current feelings of anxiety, fear, or self-doubt. As those experiences are processed, many people notice that the reactions that once held them back begin to loosen. Situations that once felt overwhelming begin to feel more manageable. Opportunities that once felt impossible begin to feel within reach.

Alongside EMDR, I use ACT and DBT to help clients build practical tools for navigating anxiety, tolerating difficult emotions, and responding differently when fear shows up in everyday life. My approach is thoughtful, direct, and compassionate. I believe therapy should be more than a place to talk about what is wrong. It should be a place where meaningful change begins.

I work best with people who know something needs to change. They may not be in crisis, but they are tired of feeling stuck. They want more than temporary relief. They want to understand themselves more deeply, reclaim their confidence and self-worth, and move forward with greater clarity and direction.

I also believe it is important to be honest about the therapy process. Meaningful change rarely happens overnight. Many of the patterns that bring people to therapy have been developing quietly for years, and it takes time to understand and shift them. While some people notice relief fairly quickly, deeper and more lasting change often happens gradually. My goal is not simply to help you feel better for a few weeks, but to help you create lasting change that continues long after therapy ends.

At Alchemy Practice, I think of therapy as a kind of alchemy. The experiences that once shaped fear, hesitation, and self-doubt can become the foundation for confidence, resilience, and meaningful change.
