About me

I work with individuals to overcome everyday and complex challenges. In our initial sessions, we'll explore your concerns in depth and collaboratively develop a personalized plan to help you move forward.

Hello, I'm Audra. Life has challenges and uncertainties, and having someone to process these with makes all the difference. Together, we can focus on slowing down the overwhelming pace and doing life one day at a time. I approach counseling from a balanced perspective of mind, body, and spirit. I will assist you in identifying the changes you desire to make and help you assertively communicate your needs to others. The global pandemic, COVID-19, has shown us that we can adjust to life's uncertainties and receive quality care from our homes and offices. If you are looking for hope and are ready to do life differently, then I am the counselor for you.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Endorsement, a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a Clinical Supervision Endorsement, and an Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor. In 2020, with the impact caused by the global pandemic of COVID-19 to our world, I became a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider. I am a Clinical Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I am an Official Registry Member of Star Behavioral Health Providers, which services the military and their families. I am EMDR trained. I am Culturally Competent in working with First Responders. In 1990, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University, and in 1993, I obtained my Master of Arts in Education in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. Since 1990, I have served in a variety of diverse settings such as Crisis Intervention, Residential and Outpatient Chemical Dependency Treatment, Employee Assistance Program, Treatment Alternatives for Criminal Offenders, a Graduate Counseling Program as an Adjunct Professor, and Private Practice. I have extensive training and experience, and I specialize in helping people improve interpersonal relationship conflicts, parenting issues, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief counseling, faith-based counseling, women’s issues, and helping clients needing assistance in breaking the cycle of addictive and habituated behaviors.
I love working with adults who are wanting to make life changes and find hope using cognitive behavioral therapy to transform thoughts and behaviors. You are the author of your story, and as such, I listen to the changes in life that you are ready for, and I encourage and facilitate you in doing so. I am a qualified, caring, and compassionate counselor who enjoys seeing others transform their lives by empowering them to rise above their circumstances with hope and determination. I look forward to getting to know you. Let the journey begin!
