About me
Welcome! The first step towards change is usually the hardest. But, if you are here then you’ve taken a step in the right direction. A step towards Change. Congratulation!
Hello! My name is Atiya Moore and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), in the state of Maryland. Over the last 20+ years I have work in a variety of Behavioral Health settings. I have worked collaboratively with a variety of clients experiencing challenges including, but not limited to, mental health, emotional health, trauma recovery, and sexual health recovery. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced chronic historical, multi-generational, community and/or interpersonal trauma. I support individuals with combating Victim Mentality, Self-Doubt and Self Sabotage, that contribute to blockages and stagnation in the change process. My methods include Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation Practices, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to name a few. I am also not afraid to think outside of the box to explore non-traditional approached including Energy Management and therapeutic gardening.
If you are ready to do your personal work, in order to manifest the changes, you desire, then I am here for support. Let’s work together!
