About me
Feeling stuck doesn't mean something is wrong with you. Often, it means old patterns no longer fit your life, relationships, or the person you're becoming.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, parenting stress, or a major life transition, therapy can help you better understand yourself and create meaningful, lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we'll explore the patterns behind your thoughts, emotions, and relationships while building new ways of responding that feel more authentic and aligned with your values.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. My hope is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we make sense of what's happening and move forward together.
Iran Thongdy earned his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle and works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
He believes that people are not defined by their struggles. Instead, many of the challenges we face are shaped by patterns that once helped us adapt but no longer serve us. His goal is to help clients better understand those patterns, make sense of their experiences, and move toward the life and relationships they want.
Iran's style is warm, collaborative, and practical. He strives to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions while also being gently challenged to grow. Rather than positioning himself as the expert on someone's life, he views therapy as a partnership built on curiosity, trust, and shared understanding.
His clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, parents, couples, and adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and life transitions. When working with children and families, he incorporates family systems principles to better understand the relational patterns influencing each member of the family. With adults, he often draws from approaches such as Internal Family Systems to help clients understand the different parts of themselves with greater compassion and clarity.
Whether someone is feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck, Iran's hope is that therapy becomes a place where they feel understood, discover new perspectives, and leave with greater confidence in themselves and their relationships.
