A Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida. My specialty is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also focus my practice on the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), family systems modalities, the Gottman Method, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, TF-CBT, Life Coaching, and provide EAP counseling and help with workplace concerns and employment/employer issues. I provide family therapy and couples counseling. I help clients reach effective solutions to their varied challenges and needs. I believe that each individual can overcome struggles and learn ways to self-heal. I have worked with couples, children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of disorders, needs, and concerns including - PTSD/trauma, personality disorders, serious mental illness (SMI), anxiety, stress, career difficulties and workplace concerns, suicidality, self-injury, abuse and neglect, anger, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, ADHD, aggression, impulsivity, parenting problems/stress, interpersonal problems, and adjustment issues and life transitions. I help with family conflicts and dysfunction, marital problems, relationship issues/concerns, and couples in varying stages of their relationship; pre-marital counseling, divorce, remarriage, co-parenting, blended family issues, and family court-related issues. I help parents who are struggling to manage their child’s difficult and/or dangerous behaviors. I help parents with behavior modification and to better understand child development and ways to understand their child's behavior to develop skills to manage their child's individual needs more effectively and ways to communicate more effectively. I help to empower clients and to guide them to self-discovery, expand and develop healthy coping, opportunities, problem-solving, and learn skills to help themselves. My commitment is to help individuals to grow and make changes that are important to them so they can move forward in their life.
