About me
If you’re ready to begin your journey toward growth and healing, I’d be thrilled to support you along the way!
Hi there! My name is Ashley Patrican, and my journey into counseling has been shaped by a deep eagerness to learn from the experiences of others. Every interaction with someone facing challenges has taught me valuable lessons and helped me grow in my field.
I’m deeply committed to treating the whole person and view counseling as more than just a career—it’s a reflection of my values and who I am. Helping others heal and giving back to the community is a calling I’m honored to answer.
When you work with me, you can expect a goal-oriented and action-focused approach. I’ll meet you right where you are while also encouraging you to practice the skills we work on outside of our sessions. Growth often happens between those sessions, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I believe therapy doesn’t always have to be serious—sometimes a little humor can lighten the mood and help us connect. If talking feels challenging at times, that’s okay! We can explore other ways to express your thoughts and feelings, like writing, messaging, or even drawing.
To keep us on track, we’ll have monthly check-ins to review your progress and adjust your treatment goals as needed. My aim is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, encouraged, and empowered on your journey.
I utilize evidence-based therapies, including: Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy & Art Therapies.
My strengths lie in supporting individuals who experience mood disorders, trauma, Autism, and ADHD. I’ve worked extensively with children on the Autism spectrum and can provide parents and clients with practical resources to help them adapt and thrive in their environment.
I also have experience helping individuals navigate mood and personality disorders, including those with borderline personality disorder. For these clients, I use an attachment-based therapy approach to foster understanding and connection.
Additionally, I love incorporating bibliotherapy into my work, offering tailored book recommendations to support growth and healing. My goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care that helps you or your loved ones feel understood and supported every step of the way.
