About me
I am a compassionate therapist who believes that healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. With over ten years of experience in mental health, I support individuals navigating C-PTSD, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, relationships, anger, perfectionism, and emotional/behavioral concerns. My goal is to meet you where you are, without judgment, and walk alongside you as you navigate your own journey.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me.
“Therapist” is the title I go by in my professional life, but two other titles I hold especially dear to my heart are wife to my husband and mother to my little boy. These roles have shaped me deeply and continue to remind me of the importance of connection, compassion, and understanding.
I was adopted by my maternal grandparents and have never met my biological father. Because of my own experiences, I understand on a very personal level what abandonment can feel like, as well as the uncertainty that can come from not having all the answers. My experiences have helped me develop a deep sense of empathy for people who are navigating their own difficult or painful journeys.
I have worked in the mental health field for more than ten years, and I continue to have a genuine passion for learning, supporting, and helping others. My areas of focus include C-PTSD, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, relationships, and Autism. I value knowledge and believe that continued learning is an important part of being the best therapist I can be for the people I serve.
For the past six years, I have been in private practice at OkieStrong Behavioral Health & Counseling, LLC. During that time, I have had the privilege of walking alongside many individuals as they work toward healing, understanding themselves, strengthening their relationships, and creating a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
If you choose to work with me, I want you to know that you are meeting a genuine human being who truly cares. I believe therapy is not about judgment or having all the answers: it is about creating a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you navigate your own journey.
I also understand that life does not always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule. Work, school, family, and other responsibilities have to take priority, which is why I offer late-evening and weekend appointments whenever possible.
My hope is that when you walk through my door, you feel that you can be yourself. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. You simply have to be willing to take the next step.
I would be honored to walk alongside you. I wish you all the best along your journey!
