Licensed Professional Counselor

About me
I am a licensed clinical mental health provider with substantial experience working with young adults and college students. I also serve children ages 10+ and adults of all ages. I work extensively with life transitions as well as grief and loss, both due to the passing of loved ones and non-death loss as well. I love to help my clients build self-worth and authentic confidence.
I approach counseling as a team effort; working with my clients to get to know them and collaborating with them to build paths forward to feeling better in their own time. I seek to know my clients’ strengths and joys as well as their challenges, and to approach the therapy process as a journey of growth that we go on, not a destination to reach.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and am currently earning my Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health licensure in the state of South Dakota. I hold a Master’s of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern State University and have worked primarily with young adults in college settings, at Northern State University and at Presentation College.
My experience also includes providing telehealth services for child, teen, and adult clients at The Support Circle for three and a half years. In addition to my clinical work, I have taught as an Adjunct Faculty Member at both Presentation College and NSU, teaching psychology, counseling, health, and wellbeing classes. I also have three years experience in Career Services and an additional seven years experience working in mentorship, service, and educational roles with college students & young adults.
