About me
My motto is simple: Therapy That Feels Human.
Hi, I’m Ashley Corasaniti! I am a Syracuse native and proud to call this community home. With my roots here, naturally I am a die-hard Syracuse sports fan and most definitely bleed Orange! I come from a large Italian family, and one of the roles I treasure the most outside of being a therapist is being an aunt to five nieces and nephews. I spent a chapter of my life living in New York City, an experience that broadened my perspective and gave me experiences that I will treasure forever. Ultimately, Syracuse has always felt like home, and I’m grateful to be back. My interest in becoming a therapist started long before I knew it would become my career. I believe my friends and family would say I am someone they can always talk to who genuinely wants to understand and help. I’ve always been curious about people and their experiences, and I truly enjoy hearing the stories that make each person who they are.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, school-related concerns, behavioral difficulties, relationship challenges, life transitions, substance use, and trauma. While my education and clinical experience are important, I believe the relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of meaningful work. I strive to create a space that feels comfortable and judgment-free where you can be yourself and feel heard. I feel incredibly fortunate to do work that allows me to connect with people and support them through all seasons of life.
My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. A space where you feel comfortable talking about the difficult things, exploring your experiences without judgment, and being your authentic self. At the same time, I don't believe therapy is just about having someone listen and nod. While feeling supported is important, meaningful change often requires us to gently step outside our comfort zones. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel challenged, encouraged, and empowered to grow.
My approach focuses on getting to the root of what's going on, not just managing the symptoms. Together, we'll explore the patterns, experiences, relationships, and emotions that may be contributing to your struggles so that we can create lasting change rather than temporary relief. I believe some of the most impactful therapeutic work happens through authentic human connection. I aim to break down some of the traditional therapy walls to create a relationship built on honesty, collaboration, and real conversation. You don't need to have the "right" words or have everything figured out before you walk through the door.
I'll meet you where you're at, while also helping you move toward where you want to be. My hope is that therapy with me feels like a place where you can feel safe enough to be vulnerable, supported enough to take risks, and challenged enough to create meaningful change.
