About me
Hello, I am a licensed Resident in Counseling in Virginia and am supervised by Kathleen Van Allen, LPC. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages (children, teens, and adults) using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to manage life's challenges and promote emotional well-being. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), insecurities, stressors, or navigating transitions, I’m here to help you develop the tools to cope, heal, and thrive.
In my practice, I aim to help you live an authentic life where your actions align with your values. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and prioritize my clients’ goals and desires for growth. I am committed to fostering a safe and non-judgmental space that involves meeting individuals where they are in their healing process and supporting them in achieving personal growth. I enjoy working with families to overcome obstacles or difficult dynamics and partnering with them through the ups and downs of day-to-day life.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions based on my clients’ needs and preferences, with a strong emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate Geek Therapy to help clients connect with meaningful narratives, characters, and fandoms that resonate with their personal experiences—offering a creative and affirming approach to healing. As an advocate for mental wellness, I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to living fulfilling and meaningful lives.
