I am a psychotherapist with multi-cultural background and training specializing in treating adults with anxiety, depression, race-related stress, and trauma.
My mission as a therapist is to create a world where emotional healing is accessible to everyone. A graduate of Columbia University’s multicultural counseling program, I strives to provide empathic and tailored counseling. I offer Strengths-Based Therapy combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) teaching you stress management, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and other skills, so that you can strive for healing, feel empowered, become resilient while reaching your full potential.
I am a Sri-Lankan/Japanese immigrant who spent significant time in East and South Asia. I am well-versed in working with immigrant population, anyone who identifies as multi-racal or multi-ethnic and I have extensive experience in working with racially marginalized populations. I am also a MBTI Certified counselor served as a career counselor and Wellness Director at Columbia University for 10 years serving student population from diverse background prior to launching a mental health practice.
