About me
Hello! I am an experienced therapist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults cope with trauma, stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and grief.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Associate (LPC-A), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). I graduated in 2019 from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi with a Master of Science in Counseling. I have spent the last 7 years working in the field of child advocacy and welfare with child survivors of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. My primary background consists of conducting clinical assessments in children where I utilize evidence-based measures and clinical interviewing skills to assess the severity of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptomology in children. I have also worked in the school setting at Cy-Fair ISD where I provided supportive counseling services for children regarding topics of grief (death of a parent, sibling, or classmate), bullying, self-esteem issues, managing self-harm, and managing anxiety.
During my sessions, I always operate first from a client-centered theoretical orientation to provide a provide a warm, non-judgmental space for my clients to open up, feel heard, and validated. Play is important when working with children, so I utilize skills and interventions from play therapy to engage my young clients in the healing process. I recognize the connection between thoughts, behaviors, and actions and utilize strategies from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TFCBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
