Hello! I am a LCSW that has been working as a couples and individual therapist for 15 years.

Hello! My name is April Bailye and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Bradley University and went on to obtain my Master's Degree in Social Work Mental Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am originally from Illinois, but have lived in Memphis, TN for over 10 years and have been residing just outside of Atlanta, GA for the last 3 years. I've been providing therapy to couples and individual adults since 2007. I got my start working with the severely mentally ill in hospitals, and have spent the last dozen years working in an outpatient setting. I am a Gottman trained therapist, which means my training has been specific to helping couples move past hurts and rekindle romance and respect. I also specialize in treating people struggling with depression, anxiety, stress related to relationships and/or work, grief and loss, and trauma. I truly love to listen to peoples' stories and to help them get to a better place - whatever that may mean for them. Although I want what is best for my clients, it is also important that they feel comfortable in treatment. This means therapy/counseling sessions will move at your pace, and you will pick the goals you want to work on. I believe it's also important to be flexible, as no two people are the same. Therefore, I have multiple interventions and therapeutic frameworks that I use (Gottman Method, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Theory, REBT, etc). As we get to know each other, we will figure out what interventions work best for you, specifically. There is nothing we can't talk about and nothing I can't help you with! So, let's get started!
