About me
I am an LPC in the Chicago metro area who prefers to use a mix of ACT and DBT based strategies to assist individuals of all ages who struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD and more.
Do you or your child struggle to open up emotionally, feel overwhelmed easily, or seem misunderstood by others? Are you or your teen navigating ADHD, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or challenges related to neurodivergence? I work with children, adolescents, adults, and parents seeking support in understanding themselves with greater compassion and confidence. I provide a warm, culturally responsive, and neurodivergent-affirming space where individuals feel safe showing up authentically while building emotional regulation, self-understanding, confidence, and stronger relationships.
I help children, teen, and adults better understand their emotions, identity, and neurodivergence while building confidence, emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and practical coping skills using ACT and DBT-informed approaches.
Authenticity guides my work. I support clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and the LGBTQIA+ community, helping build tools to care for yourself with compassion and feel more grounded in daily life. I also bring a creative lens—integrating music, storytelling, and expression to engage both children and adults, especially when words alone feel limiting.
I mainly offer telehealth sessions Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 1 and 9PM, and have limited in person availability on Thursdays between 1 and 8PM. Feel free to reach out to me at adegrenier@familyandchildrootsandwings.com for more information.
