About me
I am an experienced therapist who is passionate about assisting children, adolescents, as well as adults cope with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, women issues, and demands experienced by athletes.
“What happens when people open their hearts? They get better.” -Haruki Murakami
I am a graduate of New York University’s mental health counseling program, who embraces individuality, empathy, compassion, and creating a safe and trustworthy space for my clients, while helping to empower them. I also believe in helping individuals, adolescents, families, and couples find their voice, and feel honored walking that path with them. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups.
I am also a certified therapeutic riding instructor (PATH, Intl.) who is trained to teach people of all abilities how to ride horses. Additionally, I am also a certified equine specialist in mental health and learning (ESMHL), also trained by PATH, Intl. And a trained reiki master. As such, I believe that therapy should not be viewed in a “cookie cutter-one size fits all” approach, and instead operate from a holistic integrative approach that includes having a trauma lens and intertwining the following modalities as they are needed: attachment, emotion regulation, psychodynamic, family systems, somatic, narrative therapy, person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help get to the root. We are all made individually, which is why I aim to work from an approach that aligns best with you.
