About me
I am a dedicated and experienced therapist committed to supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My practice focuses on helping clients work through trauma, anxiety, depression, self‑esteem concerns, women’s issues, and the unique pressures faced by athletes. Grounded in attachment theory, I believe relationships profoundly shape how we see ourselves and the world. My approach helps clients understand these patterns and create healthier, more fulfilling connections. I strive to provide a compassionate and collaborative environment where individuals, couples, and families can safely explore their experiences, strengthen relationships, build resilience, and move toward meaningful growth.
I also help people find and strengthen their voice, empowering them to express themselves authentically and live in alignment with their values.
Perfect—your belief that clients have the innate knowledge of what they need to heal is a powerful philosophy, and it can be woven seamlessly into your “About Me” section. Here’s how you could integrate it into the last revision I gave you, keeping the flow professional and client-centered:
About Me
I am a graduate of New York University’s Mental Health Counseling program, and I embrace individuality, empathy, and compassion in my work. My goal is to create a safe and trustworthy space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and discover their authentic voice. I believe my clients hold the innate wisdom of what they need to heal, and I am honored to support that process. I feel privileged to walk alongside individuals, adolescents, families, and couples on their journey toward healing and growth.
As a transracial adoptive mother, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my practice. This perspective deepens my commitment to a multicultural approach and helps me honor the diverse identities and lived experiences of those I work with. I also believe in the power of relational dynamics—recognizing that the quality of our relationships profoundly shapes our well-being, resilience, and capacity for change. Above all, I aim to empower my clients to help them heal, fostering resilience and meaningful transformation.
I bring extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups. In addition to my counseling background, I am a certified therapeutic riding instructor (PATH Intl.), trained to teach people of all abilities how to ride horses. I am also a certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) through PATH Intl., and a trained Reiki Master. These unique skills allow me to integrate traditional therapy with alternative and experiential approaches.
I believe therapy should never be “cookie cutter” or one-size-fits-all. Instead, I operate from a holistic, integrative perspective that incorporates a trauma-informed lens and draws from a variety of modalities, including attachment theory, emotion regulation, psychodynamic therapy, family systems, somatic approaches, narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. My aim is to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, helping them build resilience, foster self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change.
