About me
As a therapist I am an active and empathic listener, and provide a supportive environment. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, loss, caregiving issues, and substance abuse problems.
Psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing are the theoretical foundations that guide my work with clients. I believe the relationship between client and therapist can provide the foundation to explore your issues and understand yourself better, and provide the catalyst to make the changes you want to make in your life.
If you are interested in booking a non billable 15 minute phone call, please go to my website, and use the book link for an introductory session.
I have been a social worker for almost 30 years. I have worked in a variety of settings and worked with a range of populations. In the last decade I have worked with older adults and adults with disabilities. Previously I worked with children and their families, and adults with mental health issues. I have engaged with these clients in clinical settings, the court system, psychiatric day treatment, and protective services.
