About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia with over 20 years of professional experience supporting adults (18+) through life’s challenges. I offer a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where individuals can heal from trauma, navigate personal and relational difficulties, and cultivate lasting growth. My clinical experience includes working with a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship and family conflict, academic and career-related stress, substance use, and life transitions. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique goals, fostering meaningful change through evidence-based, client-centered care.
I currently practice at Power Counseling PLLC, a group private practice dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care. We offer a comprehensive range of online therapy services to clients across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and New Jersey through a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual platform—ensuring care that is accessible, convenient, and confidential. Our team of experienced and compassionate therapists works with children, adults, couples, families, active-duty military members, and veterans. We provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore challenges, heal from trauma, and foster personal growth. We support clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, academic stress, impulse control, anger management, mood disorders, relationship and family conflict, marital issues, low self-esteem, life transitions, career stress, substance use, OCD, and gender-specific concerns.
My professional background includes working in various clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, residential treatment centers, and private practice.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional, enabling me to provide integrative, evidence-based care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Also, as the spouse of a military veteran, I bring both personal and professional insight into the unique challenges faced by service members and their families. I am deeply committed to delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and compassionate care. My goal is to ensure that every individual I work with feels seen, heard, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
