About me
Hi, I’m Angela. I am a Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping people navigate life’s challenges, discover their strengths, and see themselves in a new light. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I provide a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I have worked with individuals of all ages—from children to adults—and have extensive experience supporting adults with cognitive challenges. My approach is always individualized and adaptable, using modified strategies when needed to ensure therapy is practical, meaningful, and effective for you. Life can feel overwhelming when emotions seem impossible to manage. In our sessions, you set the pace.
In our sessions together, I will meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can identify and overcome any barriers that you feel are holding you back. I also use Narrative Therapy to help you re-author your story—one that highlights your resilience, strengths, and growth. In our first session, we’ll use Motivational Interviewing to talk through your hopes for therapy, explore any concerns, and begin setting the foundation for change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, frustration, or interpersonal challenges, I will guide you in finding practical tools and skills to help you thrive. Together, we’ll take steps toward greater emotional balance and fulfillment in your life. We can work together!
During your initial therapy session, you can expect a warm and confidential environment where you're encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I first talk about the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and your goals for therapy. Be prepared to provide some background information, such as your personal history and current challenges. I may also ask questions to better understand your situation and assess your needs. Approaching the first session with openness and a willingness to engage in the therapeutic process sets the foundation for a productive and supportive therapeutic relationship. I believe in meeting you where you are, listening deeply, and building a partnership grounded in respect, compassion, and collaboration. My role is to help you discover practical tools and insights that promote balance, self-acceptance, and fulfillment in your life. Together, we’ll focus on solutions, build coping skills, and create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process emotions and move forward with confidence.
I understand that therapy isn’t always easy, and beginning with someone new can feel especially vulnerable. It is truly a privilege to accompany my clients as they work through what matters most to them. I bring warmth, compassion, and genuine understanding to the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is a collaborative process, and if what I’ve shared seems like a good fit for you, I invite you to reach out so we can get to know one another. I enjoy talking with people and will use a person centered approach while working on what is most important to you. I also like to focus on solutions and provide a safe space for you to process your feelings and talk about issues that may be going on in your life. I am looking forward to working with you.
I work very well with individuals struggling with the everyday stressors, work burnout, difficulty with peer relations, self-esteem and self-confidence, interpersonal relationships, stress and anxiety. I also provide support for people having difficulty with setting boundaries and establishing personal or professional goals.
