About me
I’m a mental health clinician and experienced medical doctor with over 25 years of practice in clinical pediatrics. Having worked extensively in both patient care and biomedical research environments, I understand the intense pressures and unique challenges faced by healthcare providers and individuals within complex systems.
I offer a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental space for those seeking support. My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each individual, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
I have a particular focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities, addressing the psychological impact of bias, discrimination, and cultural transitions. My work is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of identity and resilience.
I provide therapy in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and my goal is to help you navigate life’s complexities with clarity, self-compassion, and strength—whether you're a healthcare worker under pressure, someone facing cultural challenges, or simply in need of a supportive space to heal and grow.
