About me
Hi, my name is Andy Marcoccia and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions. I place a strong emphasis on not just 'talking about problems' but in providing my clients with the education, skills, and tools necessary for them to actively heal and continue to manage their wellbeing long after sessions end. I am a strong advocate for using science, research, and evidence-based practices proven to be effective in treating a variety of symptoms including trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, and alcohol and substance issues among many more.
My approach to mental health is to work in collaboration with clients to identify their goals and alleviate symptoms. I utilize a mix of evidence-based practices and psychoeducation to provide clients with a holistic understanding of the root causes of symptoms and best courses for treatment.
It's only human to feel emotions such as anxiety, sadness, anger, grief, and many more at some, if not multiple, points in life. Anybody who stigmatizes mental health issues is simply lying to themselves about this reality. That said, these things are also treatable. It takes courage and work but if you're feeling ready, I'd be happy to hear how I can help.
