About me
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist experienced in treating all areas of mental health issues but I specialise in working with Post Natal mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and OCD.
Profile
The reason I decided to make post natal mental health my speciality is because I also suffered with post natal anxiety after the birth of my daughter. I know how it feels to feel lost, scared, alone and angry. I work with women at varying stages post birth some with new born's and some with toddlers and older children. I also work with men struggling with issues around becoming a parent. I practice a form of CBT rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT) which I believe really gets to the heart of these issues. Like all CBT therapy it is goal driven and focused on the hear and now but I also work in a way which takes in other training I have done in a number of other therapies and specific work around birth trauma. My approach is to be open, friendly, warm and create a space where you feel free to talk with no judgement and to be truly heard.
