About me

I provide inclusive virtual therapy for adults in New York, Washington, DC, Virginia, Vermont, and Utah. I specialize in trauma recovery, grief, loss and life transitions, and perinatal mental health and birth trauma. Therapy offers space to process what you are carrying, develop practical tools, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

Hello, I'm Andrea Jackson, LICSW, LCSW, PMH-C, founder of Cardinal Hope and Healing LLC.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when you're carrying difficult emotions, adjusting to a new chapter of life, or trying to make sense of painful experiences. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), to help clients manage anxiety, process trauma, navigate grief, and develop practical coping strategies. Together, we'll build on your strengths, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward goals that align with your values and vision for your life.

I am especially passionate about supporting Black women, college students and young adults, individuals navigating pregnancy and postpartum challenges, and those facing significant life transitions. As a Black woman therapist and first-generation college graduate, I understand some of the unique pressures that can arise when balancing personal goals, family expectations, cultural identity, and caregiving responsibilities. These experiences inform my commitment to providing affirming, culturally responsive care.

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you're processing a loss, adjusting to a new role, managing anxiety, or seeking support during pregnancy or postpartum, therapy can provide a space for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation and would be honored to support you on your journey toward greater well-being.
