About me

I help adults navigate grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, and life transitions with compassion, practical support, and evidence-based care.

Hello, I'm Andrea Jackson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW, LCSW) and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist. I provide therapy for adults navigating grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when you're carrying difficult emotions, adjusting to a new chapter of life, or trying to make sense of painful experiences. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach is collaborative and individualized. I draw from evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based interventions. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, build on your existing strengths, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life's ups and downs with greater confidence and self-compassion.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals experiencing grief and loss, women navigating pregnancy and postpartum challenges, college students and young adults, and those facing significant life transitions. As a Black woman therapist and first-generation college graduate, I also recognize the importance of understanding how cultural, family, and personal experiences can shape our mental health and well-being.

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season or hoping to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can be a space for healing, growth, and reconnecting with what matters most to you.
