About me
My name is Amy Swails. I specialize in faith-based counseling and treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, parenting issues, coping with grief and loss, and other challenging areas like these. I believe you are the expert of your story and that you have many God-given strengths that will assist you in overcoming challenges. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.
My style is conversational and engaging. I ask questions to get you thinking in different ways about the challenges that bring you to counseling. I am professional and can be direct if you prefer (say it like it is!), though most often I am diplomatic in my approach with you.
We will set goals at the outset of your sessions. These goals will speak to what motivated you to begin counseling and what you hope to get out of counseling. They will guide your treatment and help you see that you are making healthy, adaptive, marked changes.
If you would like to schedule a 15-minute consultation (no charge) or just ask a few questions about how this all works, email me at aswails.rol@gmail.com and I will be in touch shortly.
